LOTW... Joker

Journaling:  When it comes time to take a picture, you can best believe I’m ready to strike a pose, to make sure I look fabulous.

Unlike most of my sistahs I do not like taking pictures where I am joking around or making funny faces.  However they were able to get me to pose using these props while in Archiver’s.  Although I did not like them, I came out of my comfort zone to make this layout.

Chances are this will be my one and only “Joker” page.

LOTW... Kelan's Graduation Day...

Challenge #25 of the ""Summertime and the Scrappin' is EASY Workshop (SASIE)" Workshop taught by iClassygirl.

Journaling reads:

I am so proud of my nephew Kelan for graduating from High School.  He is the last of my sister Dawn’s five children and she wanted more than anything to be there and see him graduate; but she lost a hard fought battle to cancer in March of 2012 and couldn’t be there – although I know she was there in spirit and so proud of him.

Kelan being the baby of the family took his mother’s passing very hard, but he stayed true to his word and honored his mother’s wishes by staying focused and graduating as planned.

It hurt my heart not to be there with him on graduation day, but I find comfort in knowing he was blessed with the presence of his sister Martequa, brother Casheem, nephew Matthew and brother-in-law Modesto to help him celebrate this day.

CONGRATULATIONS!  You did it!
