Thank you
God for blessing me with another year.
Most of my
life my birthdays has been spent very low key and I can only recall one
birthday party – my 21st. Most
of my adult life I have spent my birthdays coordinating work conferences, studying
for final exams (it took a while to get my degree), graduating, or just chilling
alone.
The past several
years it seems my birthday has become more of a celebratory event since meeting
Patrick and the fact that it always seems to falls around the SOC May retreat, so
it’s like I’m getting a big slumber party every year with 12 of my sistahs.
This year
my birthday feel on Thursday, and as it turns out Bruce (my SOC sistah Erika’s
husband) and I celebrate the same day.
My
birthday started out great with my wonderful husband giving me two pairs of
earrings and a card (he gave them to me around 11:00 p.m. on May 15th;
I just love how this man just couldn't wait any longer).
Camille was in town for the retreat, and she took Patrick and me to breakfast at one of my favorite places “The Flying Biscuit”.

Scrambled eggs with cheese; grits, chicken sausage and a
biscuit – this is how you do breakfast

Later that
night we headed to Copeland’s Cheesecake Bistro in Atlantic Station to meet up
with Angie, Melissa, Erika and Bruce, to continue the festivities.
Birthday Boy & Girl |
I had a
great dinner and time spent with friends... Another
Fabulous Birthday.
I just love that dress and I'm so glad I was a "pushy" influence on that purchase. You all look beautiful.
