2nd Home…

It felt so good being back in the DMV visiting Mommy Dearest, family and friends.  The purpose of our trip was to attend Marc and Aisha’s wedding, but it was a great reason to plan a mini vacation. This was the first time Patrick and I flew together – we are such lovey dovey newlyweds. ;-)  

Day 1 – Hung out with Mommy Dearest, we went to the beauty polar and she made us chicken cutlet parmesan for dinner (I miss her cooking).

Day 2 – Went into DC with Patrick to have lunch with my old bosses and let them meet Patrick; stopped at my favorite cupcake place “Crumbs” to pick up a few treat, and later that evening headed to Crystal City to meet one of Patrick’s DJ’s from VyzionRadio. 

Day 3 - Marc and Aisha’s wedding.  It was a beautiful wedding, we had a great time and it was nice to see and catch up with family.  After the wedding I stopped by to visit my girlfriend Jamila, and her cousin Crystal who was also in town.  Jamila is the first friend I made when I moved to Maryland, and also my fellow foodie and travel buddy.

Day 4 – Spent most of the day laying around and hanging with Mommy Dearest.  Lisa and Fenton stopped by to say hello.  Then Patrick and I headed to Laurel to meet up with some friends.  It was like a reunion from the wedding; because that’s the last time we all saw each other. 

Day 5 – Day of rest.  We laid around and reminisced about the weekend before heading to the airport.  Vacation is over.

Although NYC will always be my first home, I guess the DMV did become my second home because I have some amazing friends there who I love dearly.
