I don’t know why, but for as long as I can remember I have always wanted to go apple picking, but I never really shared this thought with anyone. About a week ago my niece Daijah mentioned she wanted to go apple picking, and a wonderful opportunity presented itself. As I started discussing this with a few of my friends, I quickly found out they too wanted to go apple picking, so I needed to plan an outing. 
September 22nd through the 25th we were enjoying a wonderful Indian summer in the D-M-V with temperatures in the 90’s, and didn’t want to spend it inside. Since we didn’t have anything specific planned, Daijah, ShaDora, Tracey and I went to Larriland Farms (http://www.pickyourown.com/). Not only did we get the chance to pick three different types of apples (Ida Red, Empire and Golden Delicious), we also picked raspberries, broccoli and beets. 
It was a hot day, but a wonderful adventure, and everyone enjoyed themselves and we look forward to going back next year.
