It seems cupcakes have become the latest craze especially in NYC, LA and DC with such shops as Crumbs , Red Velvet, and curbside cupcakes . I’ve been asked “what’s all the craze about cupcakes”; and my explanation is because of their size, the cupcakes allow you to have more than one at a time, and you can try the many different varieties, like the ones pictured here.
I have been to all three shops, and to date my favorite one is Crumbs, although the other two are tied for second place. Quiani (partner food critic) and I have vowed to make the sacrifice and try all the different cupcakes shops, and ultimately pick our favorite one, and rate the rest.
